@TsunaReborn!
You should buy anything that looks good when it comes out. That is what I do. Then you don't have to worry about prices going up when a book goes out of print. The fact that you were five years old when some of these series ran is no excuse. I see these posts and think, that wasn't hard to get, I keep forgetting how long I've been doing this. |

I know its no excuse... I will learn from you Oji-san or I will continue to wait until you give more away to "good home" as you've already done a lot of collecting for me

its a question of money too, i mean id love to be able to just buy everything i currently want as it releases while filling out the collections I've missed but the money just isnt there.
Im praying for the day when im all caught up but i want so much its not likely to happen. |

I agree, even if i had the money to pick up everything I wanted I wonder if I would be willing to spend 5/6/7/8 tumes the original retail price just because its out of print as that money isn't going back into the industry.
I do wish at times I wish publishers would print to order, even if at a mich higher rate than its original RRP. |

i just blame myself really for
A) not focusing on buying manga outright when i first started collecting stuff. I focused more on anime despite knowing that i enjoyed manga more for the complete story that is often omitted in most anime and the extra variety too. and B) Taking a break from buying anything for a year and a half. When i came back to collecting anime/manga tokyopop was just about to die and that was a defining moment of that time in the industry but also it had added shelf time onto series i wanted but didn't know i wanted yet so stuff like mushishi was getting older while i didn't know about it and by the time i did it was gone. All that being said I've dug myself a nice hole here and i have about 59 ongoing series that need varying amounts of focus, all with multiple volumes missing. Some of those are ongoing so im wanting to get up to date with them but others (mostly dark horse stuff) are in danger of going OOP so im trying to devise a way to focus on those. |

Vinland Saga 6 is being listed on both Amazon.com and Bookdepository with a September 1, 2015 release date! http://www.amazon.com/Vinland-Saga-6-Makoto-Yukimura/dp/1612628036
With volume 7 already listed for December 1, 2015, I think it's safe to say that the series will continue, instead of the definitive suspension we were expecting. |

I think Kodansha might've mentioned somewhere that they only had rights up to v14. It's only up to v15 in Japan, and based on the running since 2005 thing, I'm going to guess it comes out at approximately a snail's pace (joining my beloved Real in the category of "omfg, I want more right now! Why must I wait so long?!") So I'm curious if they'll release v15 as a single or wait like two years to do it and 15-16 together then wait and only release a double volume every two years after that.
Also, wtf happened to Seven Seas' listing of Witch Buster v15? Being one of their few manhwa and not-borderline-porn series, I do quite enjoy collecting it, but am I ever getting v15? |

bit the bullet and parted with just over £26 for GTO the early years 8 (bout $45) as i was set to buy it off ebay but the seller backed out in typical fashion. I then went and ordered the last 2 volumes of the series that vertical put out so once all that arrives i'll have that done and the number 1 offender on my OOP list taken out.
Then i can get back to focusing on Gantz as I've done a lot of work on it recently and managed to get into the 20's and out of OOP territory there so im just gonna forge ahead and try to get it finished. |

RightStuf just de-listed Ode to Kirihito Part 1, probably a sign of things to come (they're my "canary in the coal mine"), so anyone who wants this awesome series should snatch it immediately.

I'm trying to find a copy of Silent Mobius 12 for a decent price. Also, Nightmare Inspector 9 (the print version, not digital).
