My first thought: Is this spoiler[Serial Experiments Lain? Character A would be Lain, Character B would be Chisa Yomoda. Context: Lain and Chise are having a conversation about moving one's consciousness to the Wired. Chise committed suicide in the first episode and claims to have done this.]
