I've been expecting this for a long time. It was a runner up for their award so it was only a matter of time sounds like. I've enjoyed the other runners up from their competition quite a bit, so I don't expect this will be any different. Will definitely watch!

If this is harem, I will leave immediately. Doesn't sound interesting at all (seems generic) and the art style is boring. And to top this all, this sounds like KnK which is not a good thing. Currently the only reason to watch this would be KyoAni's visuals. I'm dissapointed but we'll see.

Quote: | They experience the ups and downs of high school life before a certain incident leads them to the truth of this world. |
And does that truth have anything to do with the title, Phantom World? Just a thought.
A scene I long waited for in Kanon, Mai Kawasumi, no, Mai Kawakami, finally meets Nayuki Minase, wait, Koite Minase? who's that?

I want to see if they can pull off miracles off of this what seems to be a "battle harem" subgenre. Granted even Chuunibyou had a similar "harem-like" group but each character mostly did their own thing which was a plus.

Sounds pretty generic. KyoAni will either make it 100% better with their filler or ruin it further with their original stuff. So, a standard KyoAni adaptation of a light novel, I suppose. Will watch at first if only because of the animation.

Meh...it sounds...okay.
More magical action is good but, the plot sounds fairly dull. Sound! was great, loved the characters, but Beyond the Boundary and Amagi Brilliant Park were completely forgettable. Since I'm officially used to KyoAni animation and art, they really need to step up in the writing department. That or choose another source material besides "honorably mentioned" light novels.

I think this is the only recent KyoAni show I'm not interested in from the get-go, even BtB had me hooked from the original promo's, end product aside. I guess I'll have to wait and see for this one.

Hell yeah, another fantasy from KyoAni! I loved KnK because it was gorgeous! I just hope this one has a better plot. Bring on the beautifully animated supernatural battles!

Kyoto Animation and their honorable mentions-anime adaptations. But I am not going to rip them off today for this. Instead I wish them good luck with this new project, and I hope it sells lots of discs.

LMFAO. Nice catch.
As one of the few people on this site (seemingly) that loved KnK...this sounds really bland.
