Not really, it happens in both Maison Ikkoku and Cardcaptor Sakura. In both a 20 something male teacher has married an approximately 16 year old high school girl in his class. It is not treated a especially scandalous in either.

I haven't seen that one but I don't doubt it. My point was that it is rare and seldom if ever involves underage characters. In almost all of the many high school based anime they stop at admitting they want to become a couple and maybe a kiss.

In any case, this show is not even billed as a romance. I expect the romantic complications to be minor at best and unrequited.

It seems that this show could have some unexpected moments going on within the excavations. I think A Corpse is Buried is a show that I'll enjoy watching.

You may be right there. Also, I've not seen anything that indicates that Sakurako is in a relationship with someone. Same goes with Shoutarou. Well, I assume that by affair, they mean cheating on their partner? Laughing

I assume people think they'll be together because a previous news article specifically called the two a couple:
