If this is the rumored live-action adaption that I read about, I will accept no one other than Tomokazu Sugita as Gin-san. Sad I just...I mean...he's Gintoki. ( Even though I fully realize that if it is the live-action, it's unlikely that he'll be Gin-san... ) It's called denial, and I'm pretty sure it's healthy.

BUT, if this is another animated movie.......THE EXCITEMENT CANNOT BE CONTAINED.

Gintama is my favorite anime and manga, as well as one of my favorite comedies (anime or otherwise), but I have zero interest in a live action adaptation. The characters, subject matter and comic sensibilities are best-suited to animation, and I can't imagine a live action film bringing anything worthwhile to the table. There's also no way I would accept anyone other than Tomokazu Sugita as Gintoki.

If we do get another animated film, I hope it's an original story instead of an adaptation of the Rakuyou arc. Given its sizable length (especially when compared to previous Gintama arcs), I don't think it could be satisfactorily covered in a single film.

You can't have a Gintama live action film without the voices. Plus, I really don't think Sorachi would even allow a live action film.
