Like everyone said, I'm going to check out these shows mainly for the laughs, especially Bird Island and Dacheng. The dialogue in Bird Island is just so random. Also, I liked that scene in Dacheng: the henchman is so incompetent. He's been given orders to stop that guy but he ends up throwing a rock at his comrade's face.

I'm still laughing. If I were a villain, I'd be extremely pissed if I had henchmens that were so damn stupid that they couldn't even follow simple orders let alone think logically what they're supposed to do. |

Fortunately such efforts do not represent Chinese animation as a whole, just as Pokemon and the many trash cartoons do not represent Japanese and American animation
Some short animated films from the legendary Shanghai Studio I had the chance to watch were pure poesy. Recently the movie "Warrior" was produced to mark the studio's 50th anniversary. for a short info here: http://www.awn.com/mag/issue1.1/articles/shangai.html http://www.china.org.cn/english/features/film/84974.htm |

Is it really that bad? I'd rather listen to a Nutech porno hentai dub than this ugly dog.
(Watches clip.) I was wrong! It's not bad, IT'S ATROCIOUS!!!!!!! |
