The life size figures, or 1/1 scale, typically cost around 2k$, not counting shipping which is expensive given the size and weight of the contents. Obviously as it stands, they are imports only.
That's if they have others like her on the market. |

| Why would they put an expensive figure, especially Haruhi, on a busy street where there are insane otaku? Some crazy fan boys might try to steal it and place it in a shrine for worship. |

I don't think there will ever be a time when someone will be able to make such a grab in such a busy street with some hundred equally obsessed otaku watching. Lay a hand, and it'll be a zerg rush. |

Not to mention they are quite heavy. After all, they aren't living, and that's a lot of dead weight to try and move. |

| Gasp! I just thought of an awesome school prank involving my school, a team of otaku decorators, and about a life sized statue of every single person ever even cameoed in Haruhi. |

| Oh hey! I think that was the same figure that was on display at Tokyo Game Show. She was holding the PSP game at the time, though! |

A life-size statue of god herself. I'd be intimidated. |

| Paper Moon don't seem to have any Haruhi figures, but their most recent Askua figure costs 250,000 Yen and Saber costs 480,000. |

| People are capable of stealing ATM machines, and rooftop HVAC units, they certainly can pull off a Haruhi heist |

Generally not by themselves in broad day light, or with potentially hundreds of on lookers during business hours (when it's displayed).
Glad to know people will try to argue over just about anything.

Or 2,299.34$ and 4,414.31$ (at todays exchange rate) respectively which does not include shipping. |
