That's right, we reported it when Media Blasters revealed the Cartoon Network plans in March and when Adult Swim's premiere date was confirmed in July. That's why this reminder article includes those same two links. We usually post an article like this one to remind people of premieres on a big venue, especially if the television premiere precedes the home video release. This is particularly crucial since Adult Swim's online video service is not streaming Moribito right now. We did the same for One Piece, Code Geass, and other series in the past. Geez, what a pain. When they did that with Noein I just pirated the last couple of episodes rather then wait. Moribito looks interesting enough, though. Asian-iod setting swords and armor stuff, right? |

| What I find interesting is that the book was published by Scholastic, and yet the anime will show on Adult Swim.
Those are completely different demographics. I'll be looking forward to seeing Seirei no Moribito, and I have high hopes since it's a Production I.G. work. |

Anime always does bad. I think their anime-watching audience will be interested enough to put up with the odd time-slot...just by recording it, maybe. Trying to break into a larger audience won’t work. Hey, just like in Japan! |

| Hmmm... I know the story is fairly serious, and has that amazing quality of art from Production I.G. and such but...
I'm just sick of the overly serious anime offerings from Adult Swim... There is, ironically enough, too much of it. Maybe that's their problem. They don't offer anything outside the shounen/action based genre. Maybe they'd do better to... I dunno, expand? But I'm sure broadcasting expenses and such are just too much for them. However, I may make an exception for one lone reason and that is because Mona Marshall is providing voice acting for one (Or is it two? I can't tell if the female lead is also being voiced by her...) and I still hold her as my number one favorite voice actors. She voiced in one of the first five anime's or so I watched when I was younger and she's always done well if you ask me. |

| I don't even watch anime on CN, the time slots are too late for me (as I have to get up at 5 am). I liked Seirei though, the animation was excellent, music too, but it may not be for those with short attention spans. | |||

While Guardian of the Spirit is anything but a comedy, it isn't "overly serious" ... while I'm not so sure what you mean by that, since Gurren Lagann hardly seems "overly serious" to me, it doesn't fall into the "shonen/action based genre" you mentioned. So I think you could like it, unless you're looking for pure comedy. But Guardian of the Spirit is a lot about its characters and their relationship to each other. Seeing them interact can be a lot of fun, f.ex. Torogai, the shaman's, cunning comments always managed to put a smile on my face. Or as Chagum gets used to his new live style there are a few episodes that could be considered slice of life, which were simply relaxing and made the whole setting a lot more complex. Also there is no black and white, which made the story really interesting, imho ^^ The author of the novels, Nahoko Uehashi, is an ethnologist and this reflects on her works I think. The fantasy world, its legends and different races seemed very realistic to me. There are a lot of parallels to Japanese history as well as aborigines. I'm so hoping for a second season based on the other novels >.< |
