This is one of my favorite manga! I can't wait to see who they cast!
*(Desperately wants the Hey! Say! JUMP! boys to be involved)*

This is pretty good news. With the right casting this can be really really good.

I'm glad to hear this. Another Nobuta wo Produce to make me happy.

Once again, I'm amazed that I hear upcoming drama news here first, even before I see it on the d-addicts site for god's sake! Anyway, I'll be quite interested in the cast whenever it's announced since that'll be the primary deciding factor for me. I hope this is going to be a decent go at it and not one of those half-hour, lower-budget shows starring B-list idols (a la Princess Princess D, etc.).

Having read a good lot of the Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge manga and having seen the anime, I have a feeling that the drama will be a much more comedic series than NwP (which I loved, btw).

So why make another TV series on the manga... was the first one not that good?

A Wallflower dorama could be really good. I enjoyed the manga, but the art of the anime kind of turned me off -- there should be no such problem here.

I for one liked the anime well enough but this new series is going to be live-action. There's another (sometimes entirely separate) fanbase that follows live-action dramas, and Yamato..., with its boy-heavy cast-- well, if they get the right cast and pull off the comedic aspect, they may have a hit on their hands. And so, people are excited about the prospect. I'm hoping for something sorta crazy like the Hana-Kimi drama, myself.

I haven't read the manga yet, but found the anime series quite delightful. I look forward to checking out the tv drama and hope it delivers the same atmosphere. I found the characters to be likable and the humor sprinkled throughout was at appropriate times - offering levity before things became a bit too serious. That is what I would like to see in the tv drama as well. A series I could watch where when I'm done, I leave feeling a little bit better.

I know what you mean! And YamaNade's manga is crazier than Hana Kimi's, so I hope the drama delivers.

Yea, I think that the drama is going to be chock full of crazy, too. It will be great!

I wonder if they'll get Kiyoharu to do the theme song again.

If this is going to be along the lines of the Hana Kimi drama, hooray! But, as mentioned before, if it's a total wasted opportunity like Princess Princess D (wait, was that a wasted opportunity? The source material was pretty much garbage to begin with...), it'll be awful.
This makes me wonder why no one has gotten around to a damn Ouran live action drama yet! I mean, other than it would be next to impossible to cast Hikaru and Kaoru >_>
