I think that is Mirium from Senya Ichiya Monogatari.

Although it's spelt Mirium in the ANN encyclopaedia, both Wikipedia and the fansub I have spell it Miriam, which seems more likely to me, given the Middle Eastern setting. Anyway, your turn, Calathan.

I thought Miriam made more sense, but I went with Mirium since that is what the official Tezuka site has.
Next character:

Hint 1: She pilots a giant robot.
Hint 2: Two of her sisters also pilot giant robots, and the three robots can combine into a larger robot.

Lord, I had to download a very poorly seeded fansub to find this.
I think that's Ayame from Z-Mind.

Holy crap I can't believe I didn't remember that. I raise my glass to you. I'm sure you're right but we'll have to wait.
I think I saw the same torrent you did but settled for skip-watching a massive "all mecha anime openings" video. I wish I went your route because then I could fill the nostalgia craving Calathan just forced down my throat. LOL

That's correct.
I'm always surprised how so few people seem to have seen some stuff that got a U.S. DVD release. I'm watching this from Netflix (on DVD), so it is still available to watch outside fansubs (plus it apparently just got license rescued as part of a package of Sunrise series).

I noticed its R1 release on its encyclopedia page, but I don't subscribe to Netflix and had no idea where it would be legally available. I could find no information about the characters in that series, so I went looking for a fansub.
Anyhoo:

That's what gets me most often. I can usually pin down where something from by the artwork or pic content combined with hints, but finding out the person's name takes the real detective work.
