Just picked up Eva You are (not) alone at Best Buy. I went in there today (southfield) and I have to say there wasn't a thing I wanted on th shelf. I know Best Buy cut back on anime at some stores but this wasn't one of them. Seems like its finally going downhill. The section is also a lot smaller now.

Our Bestbuy is like that too. They have a ton of anime and they never have anything I want... but they have every season of Dragon Ball GT and Z in at any given time and the deepest stock of Negima! I've ever seen. Nothing I would want, but Fry's, I love Fry's.
Bought a bunch of on sale singles as a gift today: XxxHolic 5 & 6 Tsubasa 8 And the ones that I got for the same friend that may land me in hot water: Claymore 2 & 3 Speed Grapher 2 The rated MA is tinny tiney so I may be safe... she's 16... Alien Nine collection and the Utawarerumono bundle. Man, I have a lot of shows to watch over winter break...
Oh yeah, I also ordered a ridiculously priced Yukikaze Blu-ray set for almost $150. They charged me for it but I'm expecting to be refunded within the next two weeks when they realize they don't have it. It's worth a try though. I'm dying to watch it in 5.1 surround and all its pillarboxed glory

Elfen Lied complete show with artbox for $25 from my Craigslist anime connect. I'm trying to get this woman to part ways with her Rurouni Kenshin Premium boxes but she wouldn't do it. I was willing to give her $300+. Guess I'll just keep bugging her till she gives in

I should move to Arizona because no one in Virginia has anime to sell according to craigslist. I check it all the time and it's always the same Kaze no Yajimbo from some guy who lives nearly an hour away. |

Yeah I got lucky with finding this person. I've bought up pretty much all of her rare stuff for really cheap. I think she caught on to the fact I was ripping her off though. I just want her Kenshin bentos and her Ronin Warriors collection

Another purchase from the Borders that is closing near I live:
Chibi Vampire GN volume 8-11. The sale wasn't as good as TRSI's Tokoyopop sales (30% for the Borders closing sale to the usually 33% and Got Anime discount which usually brings it to around 40% or so), but I didn't feel that bad though. I'm sure it will get lower next week or two, but if I didn't have my car payment next week I would get the rest of it. |
