It's perfectly possible to read a volume or two or catch an episode or two of Detective Conan without noticing any of this. It's fairly mainstream where I am, and it's broadcasted and sold in video stores in the 'kids' shows' sections rather than 'anime'.

I don't have anything against the bedsheets per se, it's just not the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Detective Conan.

your both right conan is a mainstream show. it still makes shinichi out to be a hunk at times though just like kaito kid (mainly in the opening and endings) the manga is far less guilty of it then the anime, also lets face it, there are plenty of fans who want stuff like...this
