The List - 8 Most Misleading Anime Titles

The 'bodacious' in the title Bodacious Space Pirates seems to be entirely Sentai's invention, as none of the translations of mouretsu I could find comes close to that meaning. It ranges from 'violent' to 'intense' to 'hard-working', the latter of which seem to fit the anime. So my guess is that this was just Sentai trying to attract the default anime target group of teenage boys.

Clearly you have never been to the official Starchild JP homepage ( http://www.starchild.co.jp/special/mo-retsu/top.html ) or watched the PVs that came out before Sentai picked it up.
Hell, it's been in the logo of the series ever since Startchild opened the official JP page.
It had nothing to do with Sentai, the choice of translation was entirely a JP choice.

I personally don't think translated or changed titles should be considered for things like this, its basically cheating.

If you want to discuss something's title, you should discuss its actual title

you should realize that a lot of people initially avoided the show because they thought it was an incest show, and not a parody. and kirino is an excellent parody of bword tsundares.

You did not include the Puma Sisters from Dominion: Tank Police. I am disappointed.

I myself have always wondered why Bleach was called Bleach, though I hold out hope that at the end of the series, all the characters will get together and open a laundromat.

Well, in the original concept for the series Kubo had, the main character was going to use guns. So the series was going to be called "Shoot."

But as things changed, that got thrown out, so Kubo thought of "Black," because the shinigami/soul reapers wear black uniforms.

For reasons I can't remember, Kubo's mind then went to the opposite of black, "White." Finally he settled on calling it something that suggested whiteness, "Bleach."

So there you have it. (No, I am not making this up.)

So actually, Bleach would have been a good title for this list.

Denpa is used as a slight on someone you think is crazy "they're receiving electromagnetic brainwaves", so it makes sense to a Japanese audience familiar with that idiomatic language, but the connotation doesn't come through in English.

Ok, not my problem that people can't do basic research, or are too terrified by a FREAKING TITLE to even try a show.
