Just a quick question, I'm thinking of purchasing at www.rightstuf.com, has anybody had any type of trouble with bootlegs (DVD's,CD's,figures,etc...) or fake merchandise there?

Every single item is legit. They have great buys in their weekly specials and bargain bin, and if you join their "Got Anime?" program, you can get additional savings on top of that. I actually don't have one, but I'll definitly get one next year.
I would also suggest you subscribe to their mailing list. It does a great job alphabetizing their bargain stuff and is much easier to navigate than the actual site, sometimes. |

Tony K. is right. That is an extremley legit store. Theonly problem for me is that I live in Canada, And it took 29 days for stuff that was in stock and ready to go.

TRSI is a great store, although, I only shop there when the sale prices are right. You can get free economy shipping when you order $49 or more worth of stuff. And if you live near Iowa--Minnesota, Missouri, or something--then the economy shipping only takes a few days, which is just as fast as if you paid for shipping.

I don't think the "Got Anime?" membership offers any discounts on weekly specials or the bargain bin. Still their specials are some of the best deals on the web. "Note: Discount applies only to our everyday low price and excludes specially imported items, gift certificates, and magazine subscriptions. Pre-packs, Closeouts, Website Specials or Bargain Bin ($5-6) products which are already heavily discounted cannot be further discounted using your membership (check for "Not Eligible For Additional Discounts" right above the purchase button on our web site). If in doubt, you may call our friendly customer service at 1-800-338-6827." http://www.rightstuf.com/cgi-bin/catalogmgr/qyzbZRrvXl14grHv=n/browse/item/28423/4/0/0 |

Sorry. I meant it can be combined with weekly coupons, like the Geneon, Bandai, ADV sales, etc. 33-40%, plus the 10% from the GA? membership. At least, that's what I remember reading. |

Rightstuf is actually the only website I order anything from. They have great sale all the time and their merchandise always arrives quickly and undammaged. The last thing I ordered was Texhnolyze DVD/CD Combo pack and limited edition RahXephon movie box set both, including shipping, for only $25.00.
Anyways I just want to say they are simple to order from and so far whn I have a question and call their customer service lines, they have a well educated staff who always answers my questions and it's even easier to just order stuff from them over the phone. I don't want to sound like one of those stupid people you hear on TV praising a company or product, although I probably do, but seriously I really trust this site when ordering back ordered or discount items. New releases I can get cheaper at Suncoast and Best Buy and I don't have to wait for them to arrive but everything else I go Right Stuf. |

But like one3rd say, if you live in or around Iowa, 3-5 day (normal for me in Missouri) on economy. |

When I was in Minnesota, I think I got 2-3 days on a particularly large order after Christmas.

They've been great for me, have only used them a few times as I don't often order online much but my order came promptly, the price is usually one of the best to be found and everything arrived in good shape. I'm pretty certain all their titles are legit, something I usually go out of my way to confirm before I deal with an online retailer. About the only ones I trust are Anime Castle, Right Stuf and TFAW.

I used them twice. The first time was to finish off some series I purchased real cheap in bulk from ADV's online store (for Saint Seiya, Legend of the Mystical Ninja, etc.) since they had those series equally cheap. The second time was to get Super Dimensional Fortress Macross, Super Dimensional Cavalry Southern Cross, and Genesis Climber Mospaeda, since I thought they were reasonably priced and I needed my pseudo-Robotech uncut, subtitled fix before it was "the sold out." No problems whatsoever with them.

I've had good luck buying DVD's from them, but VHS is another story. My little cousin likes DBZ so I wanted to get him the Babidi Saga VHS box set for his birthday, since they dont have a dvd player. I placed the order 2 months ahead of time just to make sure it was there. It never came. I finaly got a reply from them saying that they coudnt find the item. I guess I understand it beaing hard to find new VHS now of days, but I didn't appricate the long wait for a reply.
Funny side note: I bought him and his family a cheap DVD player instead. |

Great for Weekly Specials. Regular everyday prices are not good. Overall, their service is good. I like how they ship manga sealed in plastic bags. They might even throw in a freebie like a sticker or even a promo dvd if you buy a lot of stuff. Don't bother with their podcasts though. Boring as hell.

They're having a sale right now on Bandai DVD's, UMD's, Manga and CD's.
