The groom is Frois, a robot designed by Maywa Denki using mostly cheap household items — for instance, his head is a bucket commonly used as a seat in Japanese bathrooms.

Your distant cousins are proud of you, Frois.

Having kids shouldn't be a problem since the mister has plenty of nuts and bolts.

That Quatroboom commercial didn't really tell me anything about what it was trying to sell. I guess it's one of those bizarre, surreal Super Bowl type commercials.

And it's nice to see that they were allowed to marry, otherwise a hundred robot couples would have gathered for a mass-marriage protest on Tokyo Courthouse steps. Razz

Clearly, we are entering the age of Astro Boy.

Two robots getting married in Japan. This is just weird. Who knew that the obscure 1981 film "Heartbeeps" would be so prophetic?

Two robots can get "married" but same-sex couples can't. Mmmmkay. Keep making sense, Japan.

While you brought this up, I define marriage between a man and woman. Hey, just because there are people entitled to their views that are same-sex marriage marriage, there are people who entitled to being against it.

That's true, but people say that when a opposite-sex couple wants to get married and a same-sex couple wants to get married, and only the former can - by law and State recognition - do so, it isn't "I'm entitled to my view, and you are entitled to yours," but "I'm entitled to my view, and I'm forcing it on you".

A beauty is forced to settle for a bucket face. This is a travesty. Don't they have any hunk bots in Japan?
