In a few short hours, over a million people will now know about Dio, Arakis' tendencies of killing dogs and the band Yes and their song Roundabout, if they didn't already know about it earlier.

I wonder if this means the Stardust Crusaders dub is going to come immediately afterwards. Either way, time to do some watching.

I own that DVD release by WB. The dub is really amazing. But yea, its only 3 DISCS which means 9 episodes cramped on too one disc is stretching it a little bit too much. If you like the dub its a very cheap and okish deal. If you like subs then you dont buy it becase the only English sub track available is for deaf people.

Hopefully VIZ dubs the other seasons as well. its really a bizarre story lol.

Lots of people will probably be buttblasted by the fact that Viz isn't redubbing Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency, at least not for this AS run. The Toonami promo shows the "terrible" Warner Brothers dub. Honestly though, I LOVE that dub. It's hammy and overacted, with screamingly fake accents and ridiculous Cockney (and other strains of British) slang. It's exactly what Jojo's needs. Hopefully this run will be popular enough that they can air Jojo's forever like they do with DBZ. Or at least get through Stardust Crusaders and finish off the Dio storyline.

Do your part kids. Every Saturday from now til the end of time turn on your TV and watch cable. Only you can put anime back on TV.

I'm not sure if Americans audience will get why phantom blood is hilarious, but I'm sure they will love battle tendency.
Not to mention Stardust.

So what's happening with Stardust? Crunhyroll dubbed the first 3 episodes, or was it Sentai? And since then nothing has come of it. Being an episodic show, that part would be best suited to Toonami.

No kidding, the series works best when it embraces the madness. I wouldn't replace anyone in that cast and hopefully this will lead to Stardust Crusaders getting a proper release.

They are dubbing Stardust Crusaders now. They showed a clip of Polnareff (with his proper name) which was after the test dub's ending.

It was Viz that did a test dub of it to show at a convention. I assume Stardust Crusaders is going to air once this show finishes, and if we're lucky they may even try to do Diamond is Unbreakable after that (since they are just churning out dubs these days - yay!).

I can't wait for the Toonami premiere of Phantom Blood and hopefully if it's popular we will get the rest of JoJo's Bizarre Adventures dubbed. Very Happy

It's almost completely a Shonen Jump adaptation dominated programming block now, but I do like Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. From what I've heard of the English dub, it's decent enough, and should play interestingly off of Dragon Ball Z Kai before it. I don't think they'll be getting much of "Roundabout" in the ED, though, and going week to week, one episode a week, some may get frustrated when it takes a while to get to the meat (when Dio becomes a vampire and such).

Huh. I'm American, and you're right, I loved Battle Tendency, but thought that Phantom Blood had some really weird jumps in logic, to the point of seeming kind of ridiculous. Was there a reason to take it as being hilarious? The first episode had caught my attention because of how twisted Dio's character was, but then the rest of the arc just felt like it had weird pacing and leaps of faith in terms of my credulity.
