Well it's going to be announced in Newtype's August issue which hasn't come out yet. Some people have it, but it's not officially out yet.
Also, the official Haruhi site hasn't announced it yet either, it will do so on July 7th. -Karasuhebi |

Well, if this is true, this should make a lot of people very happy.
Admittedly, I only have the first DVD so far but I'm enjoying the story. Looking forward to seeing the end of it. |

Same here, I only have the first DVD box. I pre-ordered the second one from DVDPacific for 30-something dollars but it's still not here yet. And the box has been out for a couple of days now. =(
Stupid DVDPacific taking too long.

The date for Clannad was originally this fall, but has been pushed back. I think it was 2008 last time I saw it. Which, hey, I'm more than accepting for Kyoto Animation to push back another moe-happy anime if we get more of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. It's overrated, but I still find it entertaining as hell. Looking forward to more of it. |

Clannad was pushed back? When did this happen? I don't recall hearing anything about that... But if it means getting a new season of Haruhi sooner, I'm fine with that, I can wait for Clannad. If it means they are BOTH getting pushed back... that would mean it will be a year before we see the next season of Haruhi. But that seems unlikely, so it may mean we are getting Haruhi this year after all.

The definitions of "seasons" are different in Japan and in US. The news title "Second Haruhi Season" is the US way, which is simply regarded as a "sequel" in Japan. |

It has disappeared from the list of upcoming anime in Japan, though the movie is still there.
Kyoto Animation doesn't have anything up for the upcoming fall season, and seeing as they put out two series a year, I'd take a bet that the Haruhi sequel will fill that other spot for them. |
