Well they have to wait until all the chapters have run in Shonen Jump before they make it into a graphic novel. So with only 2-3 chapters a month, it takes longer.

There are a lot of chapters in Naruto, so it's gonna take a very long time to get through the series. I suggest getting subs of the anime instead of waiting for the mangas to be released. The anime is pretty close to the manga in most parts.

The had the first chapter of Kenshin in Shonen Jump, and a week later or so the whole first volume came out.

But that was a preview, not a series actually running in Shonen Jump. For a series that's actually running in Shonen Jump, they publish the chapters in the magazine before they publish them in graphic novel format.

Tis true. IF SJ published the novels, THEN put in their mag, the mag would suck! It'd also be bad business practice.

They haven't gotten past Vol. 2 in SJ? I thought they were further.

In the December issue of SJ, the back had a list of when all the next graphic novels would be coming out, but it seems that someone has already answered your question anyway.

Also Keichii-chan, Naruto didn't start until the February issue of SJU, so naturally it would be behind everything else in being released into graphic novel format.
