Live-Action Gundam Short Imagines a Documentary After the One Year War

Rhizomatiks, a Japanese avant-garde media arts studio, created an eight-minute live-action short called "Gundam Behind the Front." The video presents a fictional documentary on the aftermath of the One Year War seen in the first Mobile Suit Gundam television series and movies. Sunrise, the anime studio behind the Gundam franchise, began streaming the short for a limited time on Wednesday:

The short debuted at the Sunrise Festival 2016's all-night marathon for Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans television anime on August 21. It centers around two engineers from opposites sides of the devastating Earth Federation/Principality of Zeon conflict. The video features many of the eleborate props and models that are now at the Gundam Front Tokyo attraction area, or the various Gundam exhibition tours.
