2nd Arena fighting game uniting Persona 3, 4 characters ships in Japan in August, N. America in September

Game Publisher Atlus Japan began streaming two character promotional video featuring Persona 3's Akihiko Sanada and Aegis (Aigis in the English version) for its upcoming 2D fighting game Persona 4 Arena Ultimax on Thursday.

Akihiko: A bad reaction, huh... I'm lucky. Somtimes, this kind of things is actually a bulls-eye. I'm going to keep going. This is is my pre-emptive attack!
Akihiko: You sure have some good hobbies, huh? You make it sound like this is the entrance to Hell.
Akihiko: How's the lead on the accomplice going?
Akihiko: Clothes? What are you talking about?
Akihiko: Enough with the talk, let's start. I don't have much time.
Akihiko: ...My body was just starting to get a bit stiff. You guys just stay there and watch!
Akihiko: This is perfect for a warm-up. I'm going to go crazy more than before. Come! Caesar!
Akihiko: The religious fanatic to the belief of power has returned! The steel-fisted protein junkie! Akihiko Sanada!
Akihiko: The pressure is starting to build. It looks like the enemy is close. Whoever it is, I can't run away. I'm going to find the mastermind and beat them to a pulp!
Akihiko: You think you can weigh the power of our bonds? I won't let you get away!
Akihiko: You're not buffed enough. Let me suggest to you a protein diet menu...
Shadow Akihiko: Die, the foolish one you are!
Aegis: This time for sure, I will make the person who made everyone this way pay by grinding him to bits!
Aegis: I cannot hold back if you intend to cause harm to the world! Aegis, heading out!
Aegis: Junpei is still just a plain old trickster samurai!
Aegis: Koromaru is saying that his fur is 100% dog fur.
Aegis: Your bear fur is falling out...? Could this be your season to shed?
Aegis: ...Yes. To me, this is a place of origin... The "place where everything began..."
Aegis: I will protect this world! I summon you, Athena!
Narrator: Her fingers are machine guns! Her eyes are gun scopes! The angel without a heart with a full body of lethal weaponry! Aegis!
Aegis: This feeling is very similar to Tartarus. If this is true, then has the Dark Hour started once again?
Aegis: It's all right. We're not just machines meant to fight anymore! We're your precious comrades now!
Aegis: That's an interesting battle strategy. I SEE.
Shadow Aegis: Extermination Mode, on. I'll erase all of you.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, the PlayStation 3 port of an arcade game, will ship in Japan on August 28 as Persona 4 The Ultimax Ultrasuplex Hold and Atlus will ship the game in North America on September 30. First copies will come with a code to download an extra scenario set for the game. Tōru Adachi and Marie from Persona 4 will appear as playable DLC characters.

The story takes place only a few days after the events of Persona 4 Arena, when the town of Inaba is clouded in a shroud of red fog in which time is warped and people disappear. Inaba has almost become like the world inside the television. To add to it all, the members of the Persona 4 team find Mitsuru and Akihiko being crucified on the Midnight Channel. In front of the Inaba students appear Yukari and Junpei, members of the Shadow Worker unit who have come to the rural town in order to save their upperclassmen.

Atlus released the first Persona 4 Arena (Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena) game for Japan in 2012 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles, and Atlus USA released the game in North America less than two weeks later.
