Auditions Open for Hori Pro's Anime Song Singer Competition

Pony Canyon and HoriPro's Anisong Singer competition opened audition applications on October 1. The competition is accepting aspiring female singers between the ages of 15 to 25 until November 30. Applicants must be able to speak Japanese at a conversational level.
There are a number of ways to submit applications. One way is using a JOYSOUND karaoke machine like JOYSOUND MAX, JOYSOUND f1, or CROSSO and sing your favorite song in a video with a tag of "HP Audition" (HPオーディション). Competitors can also send a resume, a photo, and a recording of one song by mail or e-mail.
Anisong singer May'n was discovered through a previous HoriPro talent competition. She was one of 34,911 candidates who tried out for the "HoriPro – Talent Scout Caravan – Love Music – Audition." She's since performed over 15 songs for anime series, including this year's Aquarion Logos opening theme.
