Live action... Pac-Man? Well, I guess Sonic the Hedgehog's movies are somewhat successful.

why? What part of pac-man did execs look at and go "Yes, this would be quite marketable/profitable if we were to make this a live action production."
Why do we keep seeing these incredibly tone deaf projects greenlit? |

I'm just baffled as to how they could make a movie about Pac-Man. At least other video game movies had a plot to work off of.

(Booming movie narrator voice) In a world where ghosts control the fruit trade, only one (Pac) Man can save us all. Makes me think that Cartman as Awesome-O came up with this movie idea. And if that's the case, Adam Sandler is starring in this when? |

You know how people love to complain about Hollywood never taking risks?
Heck of a reach considering Sonic & Pac-Man are not Smash Originals. Now if we at least got a any combination of a Kirby,Starfox, Earthbound, F-Zero, or Zelda movie you might be on to something.
I mean even without Sonic let’s not pretend we didn’t have a Detective Pikachu movie come out a few years ago, or a Live Action Monster Hunter film, or two new live action Resident Evil properties. This would’ve happened regardless of the success/failure of Sonic. |
