It's sure taken awhile to get the new volume of Fullmetal Alchemist.

My only problem with the material in the new volume is that it seemed so contrived that they brought Envy back, having been reduced to this embryonic form by Marcoh previously, just for this one-sided confrontation. Is it really important for Mustang to confront the trigger man? I already bought that Roy had moved beyond just wanting vengeance for his friend, this just seemed like fan service for bloodthirsty fans wanting to see Envy suffer.

I hope the next volume doesn't take forever to come out.

The only reason why I've been buying the 'Eva: Shinji Ikari Raising' manga is to read what Carl Horn writes at the back of the books, since the books' plot is fairly generic. I've met him briefly at least two or three times, and I've enjoyed those occasions. ^_^ I was disappointed to see that the fifth book didn't have much from him. ;_; I wonder if he was distracted by the latest Eva new-universe spinoff that Dark Horse is releasing.

And how many times is Arakawa going to pull the "random character you haven't seen in ages miraculously saves the day!" card? Sometimes it's cool, but sometimes it's damn near Three Stooges material, like when Yoki comes busting in with his jalopy...The greatest disappointment, though, may be Envy's whiny monologue and finale, which kind of proves that he was a lame villain after all.

Finally, someone agrees with me. One of the things I disliked about Full Metal Alchemist is that there seemed to be too many of those "second-save" moments where a character would show up just in time to turn the battle around and save the day. It got annoying after the 5th time and it happens a few more times before the series ends.

Envy coming back was also annoying. I felt there was no reason to make that character become powerful again just to be defeated in a couple minutes for the "mortalogue" or long speech even though they're dying.

Considering how much I am enjoying the Anime Network stream of Maid-Sama, I should probably get around to picking up the manga.

Looking at the release schedule of the FMA manga makes me wonder - which will finish first, the manga, or the Funi release of Brotherhood? (My money is on FMA:B)

I am one of those who enjoyed Angelic Days in spite of the rough artwork, and own it all. That said, I have been buying the new series from Dark Horse and have been reasonably satisfied - although I definitely agree it could be better.

Could be much worse though. Could be two years or longer. It's happened before.

At least Viz Media didn't drop the series, it's happened in the past and present.

Took me a year and a half (probably close to two years actually now that I think about it) to find the last two copies of Dr. Slump. Since Borders, Walden Books and almost every other store I checked didn't have the books, I then checked out a comic store. Had I never checked that comic store, I probably would have never be able to get the manga for that cheap of a price.

Sure Ebay and Amazon are nice, but the shipping costs sometimes aren't worth buying online.

I really like Ultimo, been following it in SJ. Too bad I missed an issue when renewing my subscription, and now have a bunch of issues still unopened because I wanna read that missing one first.
