The game that nobody asked for.

Metroid fans are pretty much pissed off for real.

Yeah, felt like Nintendo misunderstood what fans wanted big time here.

Okay, Zelda U is still coming, but we get no footage but instead for yet another 3DS Zelda.
Metroid 3DS instead of Wii U and it's not even a main Prime game.
Animal Crossing.......board game. What?
Okay, I'll admit that at least Paper Mario/Mario & Luigi looks better than the absymal Sticker Star (when a game of this nature makes it more beneficial to avoid battles as much as you can, you know you done goofed), but still virtually everyone has wanted a game more along the lines of the 64 title and TTYD instead

Star Fox U, Xenoblade Chronicles X, and SMT x FE look cool, I'll give them that.

Fans misunderstand what they want most of the time. Plus taking the clockwork whining a day after a reveal is a terrible way to judge anything.

Because no one wants a 2D Metroid game. (-.-) As a die-hard fan of Super and all the other 2D Metroid games, I cry inside.

I prefer Prime over the 2D games, but I would still rather have a new 2D adventure over this weirdness.

Considering that Bloodstained (the successor to the other half of the "Metroidvania" title) just finished raising 5.75 million dollars, I wonder how true that actually is? Nintendo hasn't even tried to make a high-quality 2D Metroid game in a long, long time.

The number of dislikes is, overwhelmingly, the largest I've ever seen on a Nintendo trailer. Shocked

Based on the hostile reaction to this trailer of Metroid, I'll be surprised if Federation Force manages to sell just 500,000 copies within its first year.

I posted one 0 too many Mr. Oshawott Wink and i also made sure to log in to Youtube to down-vote that announcement video on BigN´s official channel (the dislikes are way over 9000) to make my voice as a consumer heard.
Their "presentation" was a fine garade C Level affair for what it was supposed to be and gave me enough B Level games so keep me occupied but Metroid deserves better then this or the script from Other M which is the last taste we got in 2010. Poor Samus.... Get well soon!

I'm in full agreement, the fans of Metroid deserved way better than what was presented in that trailer. I think this is the one moment of E3 that the folks at Nintendo are going to forever regret.

After one day? Open your ears, fans have been begging for a new "prime" Metroid Prime game and a new proper Paper Mario game for YEARS. And then they tease us with Zelda U a year ago, but out of nowhere they put focus on a new Zelda 3DS title instead. Right, give us two unique 3DS Zelda titles before you give us one unique Wii U Zelda title (can't count HW anymore since it's being ported).

And Iwata defends the lack of Zelda U here saying that they wouldn't want to preview a game that's still a ways away. If that's the case, why did you show it last year and a while back with some brief gameplay? Consistency, please!

Seriously, fans have every right to criticize. Most praised Nintendo at last year's E3 and for good reason because THEY DELIVERED. They have every right to criticize a year they don't deliver and you just giving a "well, it's not like they know what makes them happy" argument is just a lazy retort.
