Those crazy eyes when he's scribbling in his notebook. That's some A class acting right there. 10/10 would nominate for an Emmy.

Not sure how I should interpret that he seems to want to stop himself from writing. What I like about Light is that he never really thought twice about becoming Kira, he decided in 20 seconds that he was going to purify the world. So why does he look like he's grabbing his own arm?? If they bring in some bs about the book forcing him to write then... that'll be bad.

Also is Near gonna be in this early on?? I've never been a fan of him because he was literally a low budget L.

Curious to what they will do about the ending. Will they go in the manga direction, or the movie direction?? Looking forward to it even tough I have my doubts.

Hey, Near was my favorite character! I love the little smug jerk.

But speaking of low budget, this show looks extra cheaply made. But I guess that's Japanese drama shows.

Ryuk looked tonnes better in the films. I'm very cautious a this point. The acting might be better, but not sure how they can up themselves...

Looks kinda bad. I wonder how different it actually is? All the stuff they showed looked scenes straight from the anime.

I'll check out an episode. I like Death Note but if they aren't switching it up crazily, I've seen this story before and one of them was already live action.

yeah, jdramas seem to have the reputation of overacting, this included.

Yyyyeah, that had me wondering, too. Confused
Even if it's in the early episodes to suggest he's "conflicted" about doing it, to make him sympathetic...Light's not supposed to be sympathetic or conflicted.

L looks about as good as the movie version, can't say better or worse either way.
