Macross Frontier Idol Sheryl Pitches Beauty Mist

Sheryl Nome promotes convenience of mascara-sized mist-spraying product

The Japanese company Pia is using the Macross Frontier idol character Sheryl Nome to pitch a new "Uruoi Bihada Keitai Mist" (Handheld Mist for Moist, Beautiful Skin) product. The mascara-sized mist bottle allows users to moisten their skin with the press of a button. The mist can be used on the body, hair, and on top of makeup.

The battery-powered bottle will spray nano-sized particles of mist, leaving the skin moist without having the feeling of wet skin. Users can fill the product with their own choice of toner, lotion, or purified water.

The bottles come in three colors: metallic white, shiny pink, and champagne gold. They will cost 2,980 yen (about US$39) each and will go on sale at bookstores and convenience stores on September 12. The official website for the product will begin streaming a special promotional video on that day.
