Interest New Saki TV Anime to Adapt Saki Achiga Spinoff
posted on 2011-10-05 02:45 EDT
A pinup poster has announced that the previously revealed new television anime series of Saki will adapt the Saki Achiga-hen episode of side-A manga spinoff by artist Aguri Igarashi (Bamboo Blade). The anime will premiere next spring. More details will be provided in Square Enix's Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine on October 12.
Gonzo's 5th studio produced the first 14 episodes of the first Saki television anime in 2009, but Picture Magic took over for the rest of that earlier anime after Gonzo had to restructure. Ritz Kobayashi created the original Saki manga.

One faction battling here, another one over there, and goodness knows when it's all going to end. If this is the current state of ninja warfare, it's going to be a long, tedious fight.
A beautiful, carefully detailed and altogether pleasant wisp of a film that does absolutely everything – from the characters' personalities to the story construction to the emotional stakes that hold the whole thing together – in miniature.
