The voice actress group StylipS will perform the opening theme song "Miracle Rush" for the television anime adaptation of Aguri Igarashi's high school mahjong manga Saki Achiga-hen episode of side-A. Not coincidentally, the four members of StylipSKaori Ishihara, Arisa Noto, Yui Ogura, and Maho Matsunaga — also voice the anime's characters Ryūka Shimizudani, Sara Eguchi, Toki Onjōji, and Izumi Nijō, respectively. The CD single for the song will go on sale on May 16 in a regular edition and a limited first edition with a DVD.

Aoi Yūki (Shizuno Takakamo), Nao Tōyama (Ako Atarashi), Kana Hanazawa (Kuro Matsumi), Mako (Yū Matsumi, and Yumi Uchiyama (Arata Sagimori) will star in the series and perform the ending theme song.

Igarashi's manga is itself a spinoff of Ritz Kobayashi's original Saki high school mahjong manga. The story follows Shizuno and the other mahjong players at the all-girls school Achiga.

The first Saki anime's Manabu Ono will once again direct at Studio Gokumi, which is composed of former staffers from Gonzo's fifth studio. Other returning staffers include assistant director Kenji Seto, Urahata, and character designer and chief animation director Masakatsu Sasaki. Bandai Visual's Lantis label will once again produce the music.

StylipS is also performing the ending theme song "STUDYxSTUDY" for the High School DxD television anime series, which premiered in Japan on January 6. The first episode of the group's spinoff program StylipS Star Seiyū e no Michi (StylipS: The Road to Becoming Voice-Acting Stars) began streaming last month.

The Saki Achiga-hen episode of side-A anime will premiere on Japan's TV Tokyo channel at 1:05 a.m. on April 8.
