The official website of the Toaru Majutsu no Index anime franchise announced on Monday that the Japanese convenience store chain Lawson is holding a promotional campaign between Pringles potato chips and the upcoming Toaru Majutsu no Index film. The campaign will start on March 13 exclusively at Lawson stores.
The same website announced in October that Kazuma Kamachi's Toaru Majutsu no Index light novel series is inspiring an anime film, but release date and other details have yet to be revealed. ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Bunko light novel editor Kazuma Miki did say that Kamachi is writing a new story for the film, as opposed to basing the film on a previously published light novel volume.
The light novels already spawned two television anime series, as well as A Certain Scientific Railgun manga that inspired its own anime franchise.
