Franchise-related extras offered in addition to unique card design

Suitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation plans to release a Hakuōki-themed Visa credit card with the cooperation of the title's Japanese game developer Idea Factory. The historical romance adventure game franchise recounts the exploits of the Japanese shogunate's legendary Shinsengumi warriors, from the perspective of a young woman who aids their mission.

In addition to bearing a design featuring characters from the franchise, the card will come with various extras related to the series, including the opportunity to purchase tickets for Hakuōki-related events in advance of regular sales, an original card case, and the ability to exchange points generated by using the card on original items such as CDs, cushion covers, and face towels.

Crunchyroll is currently streaming the latest television anime in the franchise, Hakuōki Reimeiroku, in various countries as it airs in Japan. Sentai Filmworks will release the series in North America, as well as the previous Hakuōki television anime series. Aksys Games released the original video game in North America in February.
