Shikao Suga Returns to xxxHOLiC to Sing Live-Action Show's Theme

Singer/songwriter already performed 2 themes for xxxHOLiC TV anime

Singer/songwriter Shikao Suga revealed at the Clamp Festival 2012 on Sunday that he will perform the theme song for next year's live-action television adaptation of CLAMP's xxxHOLiC manga. Suga is no stranger to the material — he has performed the theme songs "19-sai" and "Nobody Knows" for the earlier xxxHOLiC and xxxHOLiC: Kei television anime series. Suga also performed the theme songs for the film and three video anime adaptations.

The series will premiere on Japan's WOWOW premium television station in early 2013. The actress and model Anne will play the role of Yuuko, while Shōta Sometani will play the character Watanuki. Keisuke Toyoshima will direct the series.

xxxHOLiC was originally published in Kodansha's Young Magazine and Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine from 2003 to 2011, and tells the story of Yuuko, a witch who grants people's wishes, but in return the person has to give up something precious, and Watanuki Kimihiro, a man who has visions. One day, Watanuki encounters Yuuko and she promises to get rid of the spirits that torment him. In return Watanuki must work in Yuuko's shop and help her grant other people's wishes.

xxxHOLiC was published in North America by Del Rey Manga, and Funimation released the first television series and film in North America.
