The February issue of Hakusensha's LaLa magazine announced on December 24 that it is hosting a mail-away pre-order campaign for "Teapot & Cup" sets with four different manga-based themes. The four manga that will get a tea set are Hari Tokeino's Gakuen Babysitters, Mato Kauta's Ōkami-Heika no Hanayome, Sorata Akiduki's Akagami no Shirayuki-hime, and Yuki Midorikawa's Natsume's Book of Friends (pictured at right). The sets are made so that the cup and tea pot nest within each other. Each teapot and cup set will cost 1,200 yen (about US$14), and the deadline for ordering the set is March 9.
The February issue of LaLa launched the 10-year anniversary celebrations for Midorikawa's manga series. The issue included a "squishy Nyanko-sensei strap" as a free extra. As a part of the celebrations, the franchise is getting it's first novel adaptation from Sadayuki Murai, who handled the series composition and script for the third and fourth season's of the television anime adaptation. The novel and 15th volume of the manga shipped on Friday.
Family Mart also announced on December 25 that it is collaborating with Animax to release limited-edition Natsume's Book of Friends merchandise. The company is currently accepting pre-orders for a Nyanko-sensei saucepan and a Nyanko-sensei themed Reversi board game.
