New Steins;Gate PS3/Xbox 360 Game's Opening Streamed

Senkei Kōsoku no Phenogram/Linear Bounded Phenogram reunites staff for April 25 release

On Wednesday, the game company 5pb. (MAGES.) began streaming the opening sequence from Steins;Gate Senkei Kōsoku no Phenogram (Steins;Gate: Linear Bounded Phenogram), the new Steins;Gate that it is making for release on April 25. The video features "Phenogram," a song by Ayane (11eyes, Ayakashi, W~Wish).

The story will not be told just from Rintarō Okabe's point of view, but from each of the Labomen's point of view. The title is an apparent reference to "linear bounded automaton," a limited form of the Turing Machine concept in computer science.

Naotaka Hayashi is returning as the scenario writer and chief supervisor. Other writers include Teru Arai, Kōtarō Uchikoshi, Shōgo Sakamoto, Vio Shimokura, Masashi Kigasawa, Kōgetsu Mikazuki, Kiyomune Miwa, Tōru Yasumoto, and Masahiro Yokotani. 5pb. head Chiyomaru Shikura is credited with planning and the original story, as well as the lyrics and music for the opening theme. Tatsuya Matsubara is serving as the producer.

5pb. and Nitroplus released the original Steins;Gate game on the Xbox 360 in 2009 as its second "scientific adventure" series title (after Chaos;HEAd and before Robotics;Notes). The game spawned a 2011 television anime series that in turn, is inspiring the Steins;Gate Fuka Ryōiki no Déjà vu film on April 20.
