See the Stars with New One Piece Planetarium Collaboration

One Piece characters narrate 35-minute planetarium show in Tokyo this summer

The Konica Minolta Planetarium Company in Japan will be collaborating with the One Piece anime for a summer One Piece the Planetarium event.

The planetarium will feature sessions of indoor star-watching with narration by the One Piece characters. As Nami navigates the visitors around constellations, meteors, and auroras in each of the four seasons, Luffy and Usopp will interrupt her, Zoro and Sanji will fight in the background, and Franky will suddenly fire beams. In addition, scenes from the anime, including the scenes from the Alabasta arc, scenes of Chōpper and Doctor Kureha, and other famous One Piece scenes will be recreated on the planetarium screen.

The event will be held at the Manten Planetarium in Ikebukuro's Sunshine City shopping center, as well as the Tenkū Planetarium in Tokyo Skytree Town. The campaign at the Manten Planetarium will last from July 13 to September 8, and each 35-minute session will happen three times a day. The campaign at the Tenkū Planetarium will last from July 20 through September 1, and will be held twice a day.

Various other planetariums across Japan will also screen the special for a limited time.

Konica Minolta planetariums across Japan previously screened a Space Brothers anime special last summer that was later bundled on DVD with the 20th volume of Chūya Koyama 's original manga.
