'Q' Series Headphones Come Preloaded With Golden Bomber Songs

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

When Apple debuted the iPhone 6 last year, iOS fans were surprised to discover their new phone came with the latest album by U2 as part of their iTunes library. The collaboration came with mixed results from customers and Apple later had to release official procedures on how to get rid of the album.

Japanese company Skiyaki is going to give pre-installed music another shot with the visual-kei band Golden Bomber. Customers who order the limited edition version of Skiyaki's "Q" series high-quality stereo headphones will get 37 Golden Bomber singles already there for their listening pleasure. Preorders for 17,500 yen (about US$146) open on April 13 and are expected to ship on April 27.

The headphones themselves are like an all-in-one digital music device. They play music stored inside of them, so no other device is needed to enjoy your music. Golden Bomber is only the first band to come pre-loaded on the Q series, with yet unnamed bands already chosen for the second and third releases in July.

Golden Bomber performed Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal's "Boku QUEST" ending theme and Ixion Saga DT's "DT Suteru" opening theme. The word "performed" should be noted because the group is an "air rock" band. They don't perform the music but they do put on popular live shows. The band's lead singer Shō Kiryūin writes and does actually perform live while the rest of the group dances, acts, or engages with the audience.
