Voice Actress Cristina Vee's Mascot Makes Game Debut with Veecaloid Pop

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Cristina Vee's mascot, the English voice actress of Rei Hino/Sailor Mars (Sailor Moon), Homura Akemi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica), and Mio Akiyama (K-ON!) is making her video game debut in the iOS mobile game Veecaloid Pop. The game is out today for US$1.99.

The game stars Vee as a "Veecaloid" named Milky. The character is designed by Skullgirls' Alex Ahad. Vee voices the character and sings in the game, including her first original song "Milky Way." The track was composed for her animated music video Kickstarter campaign.

The game was originally announced last year on the Kickstarter page after Vee moved on from working with the animator assigned to her music video and announced refunds for the video's backers. At the time, Veecaloid Pop was announced as free-to-play for backers.

In the game, players control Milky who can switch between Cosmic Idol or Magical Girl modes to collect corresponding energy.

Vee also shares her covers of popular anime tunes over on her YouTube channel.

Note: Despite the game being marketed as "Cristina Vee's first game," the actress has voiced characters in Luminous Arc 2, Skullgirls, Rune Factory Frontier, Hyperdimension Neptunia, and more.
