JoJo's Bruno Bucciarati Poses in Balenciaga for Magazine Cover

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

The Italian boys of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind aren't afraid of risky fashion choices. Giorno wears a bright pink pantsuit with a heart cut out, Pannacotta's green suit is laced with large holes, and Bruno's outfit has more nonsensical zippers than a pair of Tripp pants. However, only one is the cover model for the October issue of Shueisha's UOMO magazine.

Bruno was drawn by manga creator Hirohiko Araki for the cover wearing a runway look from Italian designer Balenciaga's Fall 2018 collection. The issue will hit store shelves in Japan on August 24. The cover is part of a collaboration to promote the Hirohiko Araki JoJo Exhibition: Ripples of Adventure exhibition. The exhibition opens at The National Art Center in Roppongi on the same day as the magazine's release.

The magazine also contains an interview with singer and actor Dean Fujioka, a noted JoJo fan. Fujioka appears in a "Fashion Story" segment in the magazine dressed as a villain from the franchise.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind will premiere on October 5. The anime's first episode already premiered on July 5 in a screening at the Anyerri Hall in Tokyo, and a simultaneous screening at Japan Expo in Paris, France. Anime Expo screened the anime's first episode at the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure panel on July 6. Viz Media has licensed the anime.
