posted on 1999-04-15 00:00 EDT
In his new weekly newsletter to fans, AnimEigo president Robert Woodhead announced that the second box set of the Kimagure Orange Road TV series has undergone the final check before duplication, and the VHS set will be made soon. The boxes have also been finalized, and "the office is buzzing with the tapping of keys as all the invoices are prepared," according to Woodhead.
Meanwhile, the Urusei Yatsura TV series DVD project is moving slowly, as they have tweaked their files for the first five discs, and they expect the first test disc for the series in a week or two.
AnimEigo also announced the aquisition of a series of 6 new films for its Samurai Cinema brand. The Zatoichi (Blind Swordsman) series from TOHO, will be explained in more detail at a later date.
