Escaflowne Comes to US TV!

In a a story posted on Mania.com today, Fox Kids announced that it will be adding two anime TV series from Sunrise / Bandai Anime TV in it's 2000-2001 Saturday morning line-up.

The Vision of Escaflowne - created by Shōji Kawamori, is currently released in the U.S. by Bandai Entertainment. Hitomi, a school girl has visions of looming disaster in her future, the swordsman, Van, transports her to the fantasy world of Gaea, where apparent love, fortunes, life and death are at stake, and soldiers battle in "suits of armor" style "mobile suits".

Sunrise and Bandai have teamed to produce a new combined CGI and cel anime series called "Dinozaurs". Resurrected Dinozaurs battle space-born Dragonzaurs in a quest to save our world.

Fox Kids also will also premier for the 2000-2001 TV season a new anime inspired animation series called Cybersix. A female cyber rebels against the devious plans of her evil creator. A unique twist to this superhero series is that Cybersix disguises herself as a male high school teacher when she's not fighting evil.

Fox will continue to play the popular anime series Digimon Next year.
