Excel re-cast for later volumes

According to a post by Jessica Calvello to the Excelfan Mailing List, she was not able to complete Excel Saga and teh role was re-cast for volumes 4+
According to a post made by Jessica Calvello to the Excelfan Mailing List the actress hurt her vocal chords during the recording of Excel Saga volume 4 and was not able to complete the series.
Calvello's doctor has informed her that the damage to her vocal chords is not permanent and she will be able to return to voice acting after some rest.
Excel Saga's original recording schedule was designed to allow the actors, Calvello in particular, time to rest between the episodes in order to avoid any possible strain to their voices. However, due to outside (fan?) pressure, ADV was forced to accelerate the recording schedule. Due to the same outside influence ADV has chosen not to wait for Calvello to recuperate and will (perhaps already has) recast the role of Excel.
Calvello has stated that she understands and supports ADV's decision to continue with the recording, and requests that fans "refrain from emailing ADV any harsh or otherwise negative emails or comments."
