Oricon Poll Finds that Weekly Shonen Jump is the Most Popular Manga Anthology with Japanese Girls

Oricon recently published the results of a poll asking Japanese girls about their favorite manga anthology. According to the poll, Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump, a weekly "shonen" anthology (and the most popular manga anthology in Japan according to sales), was the favorite manga anthology among girls.

Current Shonen Jump titles include Naruto, One Piece, Eyeshield 21 and Death Note.

Also ranking in the top ten was Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine, the overall second highest selling manga anthology in Japan.

The full poll results were:
  1. Weekly Shonen Jump
  2. Cookie
  3. Bessatsu Margaret
  4. Hana to Yume
  5. Weekly Shōnen Magazine
  6. LaLa
  7. Kiss
  8. Chorus
  9. Dessert

Errata: Weekly Shōnen Magazine is published by Kodansha, not Shueisha.
