News Funimation Acquires Aquarion

Third "Kickoff 2007" announcement.
As the third announcement in their "2007 Kickoff," Funimation has announced that they have acquired North American rights to Sousei no Aquarion.
Aquarion aired on TV Tokyo from April to September, 2005. The series was produced by Media Factory, and created, as well as directed, by Shoji Kawamori.
Sousei no Aquarion: Uragiri no Tsubasam, a two episode OAV spin-off was recently announced, however it has not yet been released in Japan.
Funimation's announcement makes no mention of the OAV series. The TV series is scheduled for a tentative release in the fall of 2007.
