The Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, California is holding the Tezuka: The Marvel of Manga exhibition from June 2 to September 9. The exhibition honors Osamu Tezuka, the "God of Manga," by showcasing his works such as Mighty Atom (Astro Boy), Jungle Emperor (Kimba the White Lion), and arguably the first shōjo manga, Princess Knight. The museum is also hosting Shojo Beat magazine's second anniversary party on June 15. The commemorative July issue happens to feature Tezuka's Princess Knight. Kamikaze Girls novelist Novala Takemoto will attend as the guest of honor. Fans 16 and older can enter to win 50 pairs of tickets at www.shojobeat.com/2ndanniversary until May 18.
