News Tekkonkinkreet Director Michael Arias at Anime Expo

Anime Expo 2007 announced that Tekkonkinkreet director Michael Arias will be a Guest of Honor at the June 29-July 2 event at the Long Beach Convention Center in California. Tekkonkinkreet, the first feature film directed by a foreigner working for a Japanese animation studio, will also screen at the event in 35-mm format. As a veteran filmmaker in both Hollywood and Tokyo, Arias produced The Animatrix video anthology with Studio 4°C (Memories, Mind Game), and his patented Toon Shaders software was used in Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away.
