New York Bookstore to Open with Viz Event, Tezuka Art

Kinokuniya, the Japanese bookstore chain that runs 61 stores in Japan and 23 overseas, will hold an early-October grand opening for its new flagship store on New York City's Avenue of Americas. The one-week opening will include appearances by artists, editors, and translators from Viz Media and an art exhibition of Osamu Tezuka, the renowned manga pioneer of Astro Boy (Mighty Atom) and Kimba the White Lion (Jungle Emperor) fame.
