News Waterloo Fest Screens 5cm per Second, Metro Explorers

The Waterloo Festival for Animated Cinema has announced the films that will be in its seventh annual edition in Waterloo, Ontario this November, including the 5cm per Second romance from auteur director Makoto Shinkai (Voices of a Distant Star, The Place Promised in Our Early Days) and the SOS! Tokyo Metro Explorers: The Next urban adventure based on a manga from Katsuhiro Otomo (Akira, Steamboy). The festival will also screen Bum-Jin Joe's award-winning Korean-animated comedy film Aachi and Ssipak. The festival will run from November 15 to November 18.
