1-Shot Initial D Manga to Appear in Shonen Rival Mag

First issue's full lineup of 19 works also announced

The second issue of Kodansha's new Monthly Shōnen Rival magazine will include a one-shot Initial D Side Story manga by Shūichi Shigeno. Weekly Shōnen Magazine made the announcement in its 16th issue, which was released on March 19. The main Initial D car-racing manga is still running in Kodansha's Young Magazine, and Tokyopop publishes the manga in North America.

The official website for Shonen Rival also revealed all 19 works in the first issue, which goes on sale on April 4. Those titles will include the card-game-based Monster Hunter Orage series from Fairy Tail and Rave Master's Hiro Mashima, a Hajime no Ippo Side Story boxing manga from George Morikawa, the school-based Holy Talker fantasy from GetBackers' Rando Ayamine, the near-future Blazer Drive fighting manga from O-Parts Hunter's Seishi Kishimoto, the Zettai Hakase Gōrisshu "super-scientific" fighting manga from Akkerra Kanjinchō's Yūki Kobayashi, a special-edition one-shot manga of Masayuki Ishikawa's Moyashimon: Tales of Agriculture medical comedy, the Ima Sugu Click! (Click Right Now!) gag manga from Sumire Sixteen!!'s Takeru Nagayoshi, and the Rukia in the room one-shot comedy manga by Pani Poni's Hekiru Hikawa.
