Zune Store Adds Funimation, Manga Entertainment Titles

Microsoft has announced today that its Zune online media store has added anime titles from Funimation and Manga Entertainment. The store supports Microsoft's struggling lineup of Zune portable music and video players. The new titles include Afro Samurai, Witchblade, and Ghost in the Shell. Many of these same titles have been available on the Zune portable media players' main competitors, the Apple iPods. Some are also available on Microsoft's separate Xbox Live Marketplace store for its Xbox 360 game console. Microsoft has sold just over two million Zune players in 18 months, while Apple has sold 10.6 million iPods just in the first three months of 2008.
