Original Staffers Plan Lucky Star Video for Summer

Early copies of the June issue (which will officially go on sale on May 10) of Kadokawa Shoten's Newtype magazine have revealed that the Lucky Star OAV project will be released this summer. A drama CD of episodic shorts will also be released this summer. The OVA project will reunite most of the main staff from the slice-of-life television series, including director Yasuhiro Takemoto, scriptwriter Doko Machida, character designer Yukiko Horiguchi, art director Seiki Tamura, and the Kyoto Animation studio. The four main girls (Konata, Kagami, Tsukasa, and Miyuki) of the story will be joined by Meito Anisawa (Tomokazu Seki), Akira Kogami (Hiromi Konno), and Minoru Shiraishi (played by the actor Minoru Shiraishi himself).
