News Gotham Knight Ranks as Last Week's #1 DVD, #2 Blu-ray

The Hollywood Reporter trade paper notes that the Japanese-animated Batman: Gotham Knight video was the #1 DVD in American sales for the week ending on July 13. #2 was the live-action Batman Begins film to which the Gotham Knight video serves as a loose continuation. Gotham Knight was also the #2 Blu-ray Disc release for the same week. It was only topped in the Blu-ray Disc rankings by Batman Begins.

Overall, neither Pokemon the Movie: Black or its White counterpart really stands out from the already packed herd. While not terrible, these are films that can be safely left alone unless you or your child have a compulsion to truly catch 'em all.

Hiiro no Kakera is by no means a terrible show...it just isn't a very good one, either. With a stilted script and a team of heroes who feel incompetent, not to mention cookie cutter characters who do little to make themselves endearing or unusual, it does nothing to elevate itself above the masses.
